Your information, explained clearly
This policy explains what information Grosave collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use our website or mobile apps.
Last updated 7 September 2026
What we collect
Account details, the shopping information you save, and information generated when you use Grosave.
Why we use it
To provide and secure Grosave, personalise your experience, support you, and improve the product.
Your choices
You can update account details and preferences, close your account, or contact us about your information.
Information you provide
When you create or update an account, you provide an email address and may choose to add details such as your name, mobile number, and date of birth.
Grosave also stores information you choose to create or save, including selected stores and locations, searches, favourites, shopping lists, shopping plans, notification preferences, feedback, and support messages.
Information collected when you use Grosave
We collect product-use and technical information such as pages viewed, features used, searches, interactions, device or browser details, session information, diagnostics, and security events.
If you use nearby-store or other location features, we use the location you enter or choose to share to find relevant stores. Mobile features may also use a device identifier or notification token when you enable notifications.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, price comparison, saved lists, shopping plans, and other Grosave features.
- Show information relevant to the stores and locations you select.
- Send service messages and notifications you request.
- Respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and keep the service reliable.
- Understand product use and improve Grosave.
Analytics and service providers
Grosave uses analytics and measurement tools, including Mixpanel and tags managed through Google Tag Manager, to understand visits and product use. When you are signed in, Mixpanel analytics may be associated with your Grosave account identifier and account details such as your name and email address.
Our current Mixpanel configuration does not use a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting to disable analytics. You can use browser or device controls to limit cookies and tracking, although some parts of Grosave may then work differently.
We may use service providers to host and operate Grosave, authenticate accounts, analyse use, send email or notifications, provide maps and location services, and handle support. Those providers may process the information needed to deliver their service.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We keep information while it is needed to provide Grosave, meet operational or legal requirements, resolve disputes, or protect the service.
Your privacy choices
You can update many account details and preferences in Grosave. You can also close your account from Settings.
Under New Zealand privacy law, you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. Contact us to make a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Grosave or our privacy practices change. We will publish the current version here and update the date at the top of the page.
